We can plan, but its fulfilment depends on the Lord’s will.
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears briefly and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you should say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:13-15
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Indeed, the Lord God will always be with us, guiding us through life’s uncertainties. We shouldn’t stop and allow fear or life’s uncertainties to envelop and immobilise us.
The Lord God will help and guide you along the way, despite how hard and foggy the path may be, and you only see what’s in front of you.
“Behold, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; But You have kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For You have hurled all my sins behind Your back. Isaiah 38:17
We thank the Lord for keeping us out of the pit of nothingness.
Make bitterness a season of testing, a vital ingredient towards spiritual growth and maturity. Treat it like the fog that eventually dissolves.
Sin quickly discourages us from continuing with our faith journey. The world accuses us of our unworthiness.
Praise God, for He has cast away our sins behind! The Lord God has taken our souls out of the pit of nothingness.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
We don’t what will happen in 2024. Thus, it is essential that we read, study, and apply the word of God.
The Psalmist says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” and we need His word to guide us in this foggy situation of our lives.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
In our life journey, there are times when we need to slow down or even take the time to stop, reflect, and yield.
Maybe we have been so actively following the life blueprint we have charted for ourselves and neglected the Lord’s plan for us.
Then, we encountered a “foggy road” ahead, and life didn’t seem to go as planned.
As we continue to move, we aren’t aware that we have drifted far away from the abundant life God has promised us. We’re heading to a possible disaster.
Friends, we need to slow down or consider taking the time to stop, reflect deeply, and check our bearings to ensure we are heading in the right direction and destination.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
There is only One who can deliver us from our fears, and until we focus on Him, we will not be able to make a difference in our lives. That ONE is Jesus Christ.
He must be in your life to have victory over all your fears and live a life that has eternal impact.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
