Last January, while driving along the winding road to Dunedin, I captured a photo that encapsulated numerous beginnings.
The view from the car window revealed a stunning new house perched atop a hill, its modern architecture starkly contrasting with the surrounding landscape.
As we continued our journey, we found ourselves following a moving van, sparking intrigue and wonder about the family that might be relocating to Dunedin. Maybe a family decided to move near where their child is studying.
We visited Dunedin to see Jadyn’s accommodation before she began her university degree program in February.
Her departure from home to pursue her dreams was a significant fresh start for our family, symbolizing growth, change, and new opportunities.
Trust in the LORD
On 12 February, Jadyn began her university life. As we help her move into her new home for her studies at Otago University, I am reminded of my dad’s favourite verses from Proverbs 3:5-6.
He shared them with us during significant moments in our lives, and now it’s our turn to pass them on.
So, to Jadyn and all the other students starting new chapters in their lives, remember to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways, submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Let us pray for success and guidance for them all.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Starting anew can be daunting, but we can take comfort in trusting the Lord. With His guidance, we can navigate any challenges and ultimately become stronger.
Let us embrace our fresh beginnings with faith and confidence in the Lord’s plan.
