Work Scheme to Repay Victims of Young Offenders Works Well in Timaru

I’m impressed by how the Timaru community redeems the offenders and victims through the work scheme.

Through joint administration of the Child Youth and Family, Timaru District Council and Barnabas Trust, the teenage offenders get paid doing manual jobs around the community such as trimming edges and painting fences.

The money they earned goes to the victims for damages done. Victim Support administers the payment to victims.

I believe it’s a tough project to undertake but retribution has very priceless results for offenders, victims and most of all for Timaru community.

Congratulations to the organisations involved in perpetuating this program. Congratulations Timaru for this noble project!

He’s Prepared A Place For Us

Do you worry? Is your heart in trouble?

Please watch and listen to “He’s Prepared a Place for Us” and may the song’s message give you calm assurance.

Jesus Christ has ready the best place for you.

The composer, Errol James says:

“This is the promise we have for those who put their trust in Jesus Christ. No more pain, no more tears, no hunger and no thirst. The bible tells us that “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him”

Keep your faith strong and committed!
